PHOTOGRAPHED BY OUR TEAMCare begins with
understanding.
Area rugs anchor a room's design and bear the brunt of daily foot traffic. Whether your rug is a contemporary designer piece, a durable flatweave, or a plush shag, our cleaning process extracts deep-seated soil, allergens, and bacteria that regular vacuuming cannot reach. We tailor every treatment to the rug's fiber type and construction, ensuring a thorough clean that extends the life and beauty of your investment.
We discuss the condition, recommended treatment and expected outcome with you. The appropriate method is selected after inspection; not every treatment is suitable for every rug.
Area Rug Cleaning in Gramercy & Flatiron
A quarter of the homes in Gramercy & Flatiron are in buildings finished in 2000 or later, and the rest reach back through postwar towers to prewar lofts, so a rolled area rug may leave by a service elevator or, in a loft, by a freight elevator. A rug longer than the cab has to stand on end, and an old freight elevator may run only at set hours with an operator; width and length on the pickup tag let us plan for that. The rugs vary as much as the buildings. A tufted rug with a glued backing and a machine made synthetic take water very differently, so we identify the construction before choosing the wash. Traffic lanes, where most feet cross, hold the deepest soil and show it first.
