Washington Heights & Inwood.
Beautifully cared for.
Art Deco apartment houses climb the hills above the Hudson, from Hudson Heights to Inwood, many of them built in the 1920s and 1930s. Give us the floor and the rug's size when you book, and we plan the pickup around the building.

Washington Heights and Inwood have 75,854 homes in 2,076 buildings. Elevator buildings account for 52 percent of the homes and walk-ups for 42 percent, while co-ops make up 14 percent and condominiums 4 percent. Four in five homes stand in prewar buildings, 1925 is the median year built, and buildings from 2000 onward hold just 5 percent of homes. The typical home is in a building of 6 floors. Much of this housing climbs the hills above the Hudson, with Art Deco apartment houses from Hudson Heights to Inwood.
The hills shape a pickup in Washington Heights and Inwood. Some blocks climb steeply and some entrances sit up a flight of outdoor steps, so describe the route from the curb to your door, and say which entrance is easier if the building has two. Inside, 52 percent of homes are reached by elevator and the 42 percent in walk-ups by stairs; note the floor and any hours the superintendent sets in the tag's Building access field. Each rug goes out rolled and wrapped.
